— The experience

The court is yours. No racket, no warm-up, no excuses.

Virtual Tennis translates your actual arm motion into on-court strokes — swing flat for a thumping drive, open the face for a lofted lob, or snap your wrist through contact for a spinning kick serve. The controller reads your swing path, speed and angle so what you do with your arm is exactly what the virtual player does on screen.

Opponents range from a gentle coach-like rallier who keeps every ball coming back to hard-hitting rivals who wrong-foot you with drop shots and big serves. Work through the levels at your own pace, or jump straight into a head-to-head with a friend and see who can hold serve.

You'll move, stretch and breathe hard — this is one of those experiences that doesn't feel like exercise until your shoulder reminds you the next morning. A quick score summary at the end tracks aces, winners and unforced errors, so there's always a number to chase on your next visit.

  1. 01

    Pick your match

Choose a court surface, match length and opponent difficulty — from beginner rally to tournament-level rival.
  2. 02

    Calibrate your swing

A short warm-up rally syncs the controller to your height and dominant hand so strokes register accurately.

Serve, return and work the court — use spin, placement and power just like on a real court.
  4. 04

    Check your stats

Review your aces, winners and match score, then rematch or challenge a new opponent.
— Why it hits different

Four things that make it feel like the real sport.

stroke recognition detail
01

True stroke recognition

The system reads swing path, speed and wrist angle — forehands, backhands, serves and volleys all register as distinct, individual shots.

02

Multiple court surfaces

Grass, clay and hard court each play differently — the ball bounces and skids true to the surface, changing your rally strategy each time.

Scalable opposition

A wide ladder of AI opponents means a seven-year-old and a former club player can both find a genuinely competitive match at the same station.

Real physical workout

Serving, chasing wide balls and smashing at the net gets your heart rate up — you're playing sport, not just pressing buttons.

— Before you play

Safety & suitability.

Tennis is an active, swinging experience. A few simple checks keep the court safe for you and the players around you.

  • Ensure a clear arm's-length radius around you before swinging — our crew marks the safe play zone.
  • Remove rings, watches and loose jewellery before picking up the controller to avoid damage or injury.
  • Not recommended if you have shoulder, elbow or wrist injuries — the motion can aggravate existing strains.
  • Children under 8 or under 120cm must be supervised by an adult; any minimum age or height for this attraction is signposted at the zone entrance.
  • Staff can pause the session at any time — wave to a crew member if you need assistance.
  • Arrive a few minutes early to complete the controller calibration warm-up before your match begins.
— Good to know

Frequently asked.

Do I need to know how to play tennis?

Not at all. The controller calibrates to your natural arm swing, and beginner-difficulty opponents rally slowly and predictably — you'll be hitting consistent groundstrokes within your first few points. Experienced players can crank up the difficulty to face hard-hitting opponents who slice, drop-shot and serve wide.

Can two people play against each other?

Yes. The experience supports head-to-head play, so you can face off directly against a friend or family member on the same match screen. Check with our crew on the day for current station availability.

How tiring is it?

More than you'd expect. Serving and chasing wide balls involves real shoulder, arm and core movement. Most players work up a sweat within a few games — wear comfortable clothes and stay hydrated.

Which hand should I use?

Either. During the calibration warm-up you choose your dominant hand, and the game mirrors the court layout accordingly, so left- and right-handed players both get a natural experience.

What if I swing too hard and lose grip on the controller?

The controller has a wrist strap — always wear it before playing. Our crew checks the strap is secure before every session to make sure the controller stays with you through even the biggest smash.
